    Owner and history

The three grape varieties cultivated there are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, mostly planted in Cantenac (as the château's name indicates), where the soils are clay-limestone and composed of gravel. More precisely, 39.5 hectares of gravel and clay-limestone soils on the Margaux and Cantenac plateaus, plus 16 hectares of Petites Graves and 5 hectares of clay-limestone.

    Vinification and aging

An eco-friendly winery is currently under construction: built entirely of raw earth and solid, untreated, bio-sourced wood, all sourced from the region. The grapes are harvested by hand, and meticulous sorting takes place before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in barrels.
