    Tasting notes

Tribute to Jacques Perrin 2014 This vintage is distinguished by its classic elegance: a deep color, a nose of black fruit, leather and undergrowth, and a balanced, taut palate with fine tannins. It seduces with its freshness and great aromatic precision.

Tribute to Jacques Perrin 2015 A sunny and generous vintage, 2015 offers a dense and velvety texture, marked by notes of blackberry, licorice, and garrigue. The palate, ample and structured, displays a beautiful power supported by a long and spicy finish.

Tribute to Jacques Perrin 2016 Considered one of the greatest, the 2016 impresses with its masterful balance: concentration, freshness, and depth unite in a sumptuous texture. Aromas of black fruit, spice, and truffle herald a wine of rare intensity, built to age beautifully.

    Food & wine pairings

Ideal pairings include game (roe deer, deer), roast suckling lamb with Provençal herbs, rich stews such as wild boar stew, or aged hard cheeses. The intensity and complexity of these wines demand generous dishes, without overpowering their finesse.

The Château de Beaucastel vineyard covers approximately 100 hectares at the northernmost edge of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, on soils of rolled pebbles mixed with clay and limestone. These stones absorb the day's heat and release it at night, promoting perfect grape ripeness. The Mediterranean climate, tempered by the Mistral wind, brings balance and freshness to the berries. Each plot is cultivated biodynamically, respecting natural rhythms. This unique terroir gives the Hommage à Jacques Perrin an unparalleled depth and complexity.

    Owner and history

Château de Beaucastel belongs to the Perrin family, one of the most respected in the Rhône Valley. Heirs to Jacques Perrin, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture, his sons Jean-Pierre and François Perrin, and then the new generation, perpetuate this quest for excellence and authenticity. The Hommage à Jacques Perrin cuvée, created in 1989, celebrates the patriarch's innovative vision and is produced only in exceptional vintages. Each bottle embodies the transmission, passion, and family expertise that symbolize the prestige of Beaucastel.

    Vinification and aging

The grapes, hand-harvested at perfect ripeness, are carefully sorted before vinification by plot. Each grape variety is fermented separately, allowing the full richness of the Mourvèdre and the elegance of the Syrah and Grenache to express themselves. The extended maceration, carried out in truncated conical vats, promotes the gentle extraction of tannins and aromas. The wine is then aged in oak casks for twelve to fifteen months, with minimal use of new oak to preserve the purity of the fruit. This meticulous work results in a remarkably precise wine, built for aging.
