The Château Clerc Milon vineyard stretches across gravel and clay soils, typical of the Pauillac region. These terroirs, bathed in an oceanic climate, benefit from optimal sun exposure, promoting perfect grape ripening. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with care, respecting the local ecosystem. Each vine tells the story of its land, and the harvest is carried out by hand to guarantee rigorous selection of the grape bunches.

    Owner and history

The Château Clerc Milon vineyard covers 41 hectares in the northern part of the Pauillac appellation. The vines thrive in soil composed of deep sandy gravel and a clay-limestone subsoil. The vineyard has an average age of 55 years and is cultivated with respect for the environment, limiting the use of chemical inputs. Like Château Mouton Rothschild, the Clerc Milon vineyard benefits from meticulous monitoring and plot-by-plot selection.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Château Clerc Milon 2019 is a meticulously orchestrated art. After a manual harvest, the grapes are destemmed and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing for a gentle extraction of tannins. Aging in oak barrels lasts approximately 12 to 14 months, imparting complexity and depth to the wine. Each step aims to preserve the authenticity of the terroir while offering an elegant and harmonious structure.
