" The 2015 is rich and juicy, with aromas of redcurrant, light chocolate, and a touch of cedar. The palate is full, with rounded textures, and very elegant. The finish is exceptionally long and flavorful. A convivial, vibrant wine ," James Suckling, 94 points/100

The Château Langoa Barton vineyard covers 19 hectares, planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The vines, averaging 30 years old, grow in clay-limestone soils, which promote excellent drainage and optimal grape ripening. The region's oceanic climate helps balance the richness of the fruit with the freshness of the wines. Viticulture is practiced with care, respecting the natural rhythm of the vines and encouraging biodiversity.

    Owner and history

Currently managed by the Barton family, Château Langoa Barton is overseen by Damien Barton, who perpetuates the family tradition while injecting a modern dynamism. Passionate about his terroir, he is involved in every stage of production, from vine to bottle. The Barton family also owns the renowned Château Léoville Barton, a testament to their commitment to excellence. Their approach is environmentally conscious, with a particular focus on sustainable practices.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Langoa Barton is carried out with a constant focus on quality. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, allowing for the extraction of the finest aromas. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are renewed annually, for a period of 12 to 18 months. This process imparts complexity and structure to the wine while preserving the identity of the terroir.
