    Vinification and aging

    Winemaking at Château Léoville Las Cases The wine is made with great care. The harvest is done by hand, guaranteeing the selection of only the best grapes. After rigorous sorting, the bunches are destemmed before being placed in vats. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature control. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in oak barrels, 70% of which are new, adding complexity and structure. This traditional method, combined with modern techniques, gives the wines a unique personality.
