Today, it's his daughter. Anne Moreywho runs the domaine with the same rigor and the same quest for perfection.

        A Pioneer of Biodynamic Agriculture

THE domaine He was one of the forerunners of the biodynamic movement in Burgundy:

        • Conversion: From 1992 onwards for the domaine, with full certification in 1997.

        • Objective : Revitalize the soils so that each climat (plot) can express its mineral signature in the most transparent way possible.

        • Practices: No chemicals, use of horn manure preparations (500) and silica (501), and respect for lunar cycles for vineyard and cellar work.

        A Heritage of Exceptional Terroirs

THE domaine exploits approximately 11 hectares, mainly concentrated in Meursault, but extending into the neighboring elite villages:

        - Meursault Les Tessons (lieu-dit exceptional),Les Perrières (1er Cru), The Charms (1er Cru)
        - Puligny-Montrachet Gain Field (1er Cru)
        - Chassagne-Montrachet Embazées (1er Cru)
        - Grands Crus Bâtard-Montrachet

The Morey Style: Tension and Noble Austerity

Contrary to the classic image of a rich and buttery Meursault, Pierre Morey's wines are distinguished by:

        1. Incredible Uprightness: These are taut wines, with a "ripe" acidity that serves as a backbone.

        2. The Noble Reduction: It often contains these notes of "crushed stone" or very light sulfur which bring great aromatic complexity.

        3. The Guard Potential: These are not wines that reveal themselves immediately. They often require a few years in the cellar to exchange their austere character for a silky and profound complexity.

        Maison Morey-Blanc (High-End Wine Merchant)

In addition to the domaine, the family created a trading structure called Morey-BlancPierre and Anne buy grapes from winegrowers who share their high standards of quality. The wines are made with the same care as those of... domaine, allowing the range to be expanded to include appellations such as Aloxe-Corton, Corton-Charlemagne or Saint-Aubin.

Expert advice: If you are looking for the very definition of minerality in Meursault, the Meursault "Les Tessons" of domaine is often considered the largest "village" of the appellation, rivaling many Premier Crus.
