The Château Fleur Cardinale vineyard is situated on clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Saint-Émilion region. This type of soil promotes optimal drainage and good water retention, allowing the vines to draw the nutrients necessary for their growth. The temperate climate of Bordeaux, with its oceanic influences, allows the grapes to ripen slowly, thus developing a unique aromatic complexity. Each plot is carefully tended, respecting the natural cycles of the vine, resulting in high-quality, hand-harvested grapes.

    Owner and history

Currently, Château Fleur Cardinale is managed by the Carle family, who have breathed new life into the estate in just a few years. Their passion for wine and their pursuit of excellence are reflected in every vintage. They have successfully combined tradition and innovation, implementing environmentally friendly farming practices. Their commitment to wine quality and showcasing the terroir has allowed the château to rise to the ranks of the great names of Saint-Émilion. The Carle family is also involved in promoting the appellation, contributing to the growth of Bordeaux viticulture.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Fleur Cardinale is carried out with meticulous care. The hand-harvested grapes are rigorously sorted to select only the finest fruit. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats, allowing for precise temperature regulation and promoting aromatic expression. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart subtle nuances without masking the terroir. This aging process, which lasts approximately 12 to 15 months, gives the wine its structure and complexity, while respecting the estate's unique character.
