    The family Antinori, who runs the domaine For over six centuries, it has embodied an exceptional winemaking tradition. Currently, the 26th generation is at the helm of the company, perpetuating a rich heritage while innovating in winemaking practices. Two of the most prestigious plots of land domaine, Tignanello and Solaia are located on the same hillside; they rest on soils derived from Pliocene marine marls, rich in limestone and schist. The vines benefit from high daytime temperatures and cooler evenings throughout the growing season.

    Owner and history

    THE domaine Tenuta Tignanello is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, on gently sloping hillsides extending between the valleys of the Greve and Pesa rivers. It covers an area of 319 hectares, of which 165 are dedicated to vines. The two emblematic wines of domaine, Solaia and Tignanello come from these vineyards and are considered by the international press to be "among the most influential wines in the history of Italian viticulture." For the Marchesi family Antinori, Solaia and Tignanello represent a constant challenge and an endless passion. THE domaine Tignanello cultivates the indigenous Sangiovese grape variety as well as other non-traditional varieties, such as Cabernet Franc.

    Vinification and aging

    The Solaia vineyard occupies the sunniest part of the Tignanello hillside. It offers the finest grapes from the finest vineyard. Everything else is passion, meticulous care, and research. These are the secrets of Solaia, combined with the exceptional quality of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese grapes grown in this eponymous vineyard.
