The Château Palmer vineyard covers 66 hectares, primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The soils are composed of Garonne gravel, promoting excellent drainage and optimal grape ripening. The region's oceanic climate, with its mild winters and hot summers, contributes to the aromatic richness of the berries. Viticulture practices are meticulously adapted to respect the terroir, with particular attention paid to the balance between yield and quality.

    Owner and history

The estate is currently managed by Thomas Duroux, who took over in 2004. Under his leadership, Château Palmer has strengthened its commitment to quality and sustainability. The owners, the Sichel family, have always been dedicated to preserving the heritage of this grand cru while exploring new avenues of expression for their wines. Together, they strive to make Palmer not only an exceptional wine, but also an ambassador for the values of the Bordeaux terroir.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Palmer is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a respect for tradition. The grapes are harvested by hand, allowing for rigorous selection. After light destemming, they are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, promoting gentle tannin extraction. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are renewed annually to impart complexity and structure. This artisanal approach allows the full typicity of the Margaux terroir to shine through.
